Do or Die Slogan:-
On 7th August 1942 a meeting of the All India Congress Committee was held in Bombay. On 8th August 1942 the famous "Quit India" resolution moved by Jawaharlal Nehru was passed with overwhelming majority. The resolution declared that the immediate ending of the British rule in India as an urgent necessity. On the night of 8th August 1942 addressing the Congress delegates Mahatma Gandhi gave the the slogan "Do or Die". It means we shall either free India or die in the attempt.
