Prayaga Assembly-Maha Moksha Parishad:
Harsha held an Assembly called Maha Moksha Parishad at Prayaga in 643 A.D. It was 6th Assembly. Maha Moksha Parishad was held once in every 5 years. The Assembly was held where the Ganga and Yamuna rivers meet. On the first day of Assembly an image of Buddha was sit up in temporary building and large number of clothes and valuable articles were distributed among the people. The images of Surya and Siva were honoured on second and third days. On fourth day gifts were given to Buddhist monks. All these lasted for 75 days.
