Fox India Bill 1783:
The main provisions of the bill are as follows:
a) It proposed to abolish the court of Directors and the Court of Proprietors.
b) Seven commissioners or Directors were to administer the territories of India. They have the power to appoint or dismiss all the servants of the company.

Declaratory Act 1788:
This Act vested full power in the Board of Control. The Act transferred the power of the company to the Crown. As per this Act the Directors should place the annual accounts of the company before the Parliament. The Board of Control was required to take the approval of the Directors for granting gratuity for services and increment in salaries.
