Fish-Poultry meat-Egg production

During the year 2014-15, 78,484 million eggs were produced in the country against 74752 million eggs produced during 2013-14. Egg production is now increasing 5% annually. Poultry meat production was estimated at 3.04 MT.

Fisheries constitute about 1 per cent of the GDP of the country and 5.08 per cent of agriculture GDP. The total fish production during 2014-15 was 10.16 MT, an increase of 6.18 per cent over 2013-14.
